DESCRIPTION

In this webinar we'll explore the various ways of creating and editing stereoscopic material for both film and video using Avid Media Composer 5.x. You'll learn tips, tricks, and best practices to ensure that the stereoscopic post process is as painless as possible. We'll also show a "Technology Preview of Stereoscopic features for Media Composer".

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Avid, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro Editors. Any other video editor wanting to learn more about Stereo 3D editing inside Avid Media Composer. Producers, this will give you a good overview of what you need to do in post on your next Stereo project.


PREREQUISITE

Some editing experience is recommended by not required. Avid experience is not required since some of the concepts you'll learn here you can apply in any other NLE.


PRESENTER

Michael Kammes
Michael Kammes, a Senior Technology and Workflow Consultant at Key Code Media, consults on and demonstrates digital filmmaking workflows benefiting the post industry including workflows about stereoscopy, acquisition, storage, editorial, audio, finishing, and encoding.

His post audio experience encompasses serving as a Dialogue Editor, SFX Editor, ADR Recordist and Editor, Re-Recording Mixer and Supervising Sound Editor on many film, television and internet based projects.

He is currently a member of the MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors), an FCP Apple Certified Trainer, an Avid Certified Support Representative (ACSR). You can catch him as a presenter at colleges, conventions, technology retreats and symposiums.

    • Computer speakers.
    • Any screen resolution should work, however, the higher the resolution, the better it will look.
    • A media player that can play .m4v and .m4a files (iTunes, Windows Media, etc.)
    • Acrobat reader for some of the PDF files.
    • Depending on the webinar, you will need a host application to open up the bonus features (such as project files, etc.)
