DESCRIPTION

Amidst all the noise of the Final Cut Pro X launch, Apple also released a new upgrade to Compressor - version 4.

In this webinar, you'll discover the new features and power skills you can use to make your video for the web look great! We'll also look at the new distributed compression, which allows you to harness the power of multiple computers to speed compression.

Finally, we'll detail some great Compressor 4 workflows you can use today with FCP X, Motion 5 and FCP 7.

PREREQUISITE

Some compression knowledge will be helpful, but not required. Knowledge of basic video terminology is very helpful.

PRESENTER

Larry Jordan is a producer, director, editor, consultant and Apple-Certified trainer with over 30 years video production and post-production experience. He is currently using his award-winning skills in training editors to use Final Cut Studio. He is the Executive Producer and Host of Digital Production BuZZ, as well as author of five books on Final Cut Studio, along with a monthly on-line newsletter covering Final Cut Studio.

HOST

Marcelo Lewin is the founder and CEO of Ahead Of The Curve Media, LLC, owner of FilmmakingWebinars.com and CoderWebinars.com. HOW IT WORKS

1. LIVE WEBINARS
• Register for the webinar by selecting an option from the "Purchase Options" section.
• You will receive an email confirmation.
• On the day and time of the Webinar, click on the URL in the confirmation email.
• Remember to log in 20 minutes before the webinar to watch "The Twenties", a 20 minute "slide show" before the webinar.
• The presentation will appear in your browser. If this is the first time you've taken a Webinar from us, you will have to approve the installation of the GotoMeeting.com plug-in. You must have Java enabled for this plug-in to work.
• You'll be able to call into a phone # (which you will get in the confirmation email) or can also use your computer audio to listen in.
• You'll be able to ask text questions through an easy to use interface. Your microphone is not enabled during the presentation.


2. ON DEMAND WEBINARS

• You will receive confirmation of your payment.
• You will receive an email with a link to download your on-demand version of the webinar

• Computer speakers (if you are not calling in).
• Any screen resolution should work, however, the higher the resolution, the better it will look.
• Any latest version of Safari, Internet Explorer or Firefox.
• Java needs to be enabled.

• Computer speakers.
• Any screen resolution should work, however, the higher the resolution, the better it will look.
• A media player that can play .m4v and .m4a files (iTunes, Windows Media, etc.)
• Acrobat reader for some of the PDF files.
• Depending on the webinar, you will need a host application to open up the bonus features (such as project files, etc.)
